A commercial invoice is required for most US CBP – Customs Border and Protection transactions. A commercial invoice must have detailed information about the shipment as required by US Customs.
The commercial invoice must include the country of origin, price per unit in US dollars, complete name and address of manufacturer, supplier, buyer and consignee along with the corresponding importer numbers or EIN. A packing list detailing number of pieces, description and weight or volume must also accompany the US customs entry.
