Customs Clearance Consulting Services

If you are starting out an import/export business it is important to be informed ahead of time of the US import requirements and duties for your products. As part of our customs clearance consulting services, we frequently work with first time importers to assist them with the customs clearance requirements for their products.

Why use our consulting services

Based on 15 years of international logistics experience, we are able to provide first time importers with valuable information to facilitate the import process. We specially enjoy assisting new importers that are starting out with new business ideas. New importers often need help with their product requirements in order to comply with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). We pride ourselves in being an integral part of our client’s first import shipments and we greatly enjoy watching new importers grow their import business.

Be believe in educating our clients and taking our time explaining the import process. Through our consulting services, our clients are fully informed on the entire import process, and this enables them to make the best logistics decisions for their business moving forward. In the course of reviewing the import process with our clients, many times we are able to point out areas of opportunity in the logistics chain and in product classifications that result in savings of both time and cost to the importer.

What you can expect from us

As we work together you can expect transparency throughout the entire import process.

With many of our importers, we participate from the beginning starting with product packaging design to comply with import requirements and in some cases we advice on new product materials composition. We work with our clients on the proper labeling guidelines, marking requirements, certifications, registrations and import documentation required.

We have extensive experience in a large variety products imported from any part of the world to the US. Some of the products we work with are: antique autos, electrical components, industrial machinery, industrial supplies, raw materials, electronics, textiles, shoes, construction materials, furniture, artwork, personal effects, pet supplies, meats, dry foods, temperature controlled food, cosmetics, chemicals and many others.

We also work with new importers of FDA products such as cosmetics, cereals, coffee, drinks, candy, grains, chocolates, jams, canned foods, fish, and several food and food related products. We coordinate USDA and FSIS product inspections for compliance for products such as meats and animal derived products.

For FDA food or cosmetic products we have a structured import plan for first time shipments. As part of our consulting services we prepare for you a step by step plan to make your FDA product is compliant right from the first import shipment.

How it works

With most of our first time clients we speak on the phone, email or chat for a few minutes to get basic information about the products being imported, country of origin, tariff classifications and value to determine customs duties and import fees.

With experienced importers, our first communication concludes with us receiving the shipment documentation and we then proceed with the customs clearance of the shipment.

For new importers who need more guidance, information, or preparation prior to their first import shipment we offer consulting services in person in our office in Doral, FL, or via phone, chat or video conference. Consulting meetings are 30-45 minutes, our consulting fee is $75.

To schedule a consultation please call us or fill out the consulting form below.  Once we set up your appointment we will email a link where you can pay for the consulting fee on-line.

Thank you for trusting us with your first import shipments. We are happy to be a part of your new import activities and we look forward to hearing from you.
