FDA importsDoral Customs Brokers is your FDA imports specialist for all ports of entry in Miami, Florida.

Many importers associate import entries subject to FDA approval with items such as food, medicines, medical devices and supplements, however, anything that comes in contact with the skin such as makeup, creams, even shampoos, are also subject to FDA inspection and approval. These types of products fall under the cosmetics category of FDA compliance.

At Doral Customs Brokers we are experienced in FDA imports through Miami, Florida ports of entry, such as the Miami airport, the port of Miami and Port Everglades. We are authorized by US customs for automated transmissions, which ensures that your cargo is processed and cleared fast and efficiently. Our brokers are experienced with FDA transactions and can anticipate and resolve FDA requirements for clearance.

For shipments that will be coming to the US via ocean it is important to contact us at least 3 days before the products are scheduled to be loaded on the steamship. US customs requires an ISF (Importer Security Filing) to be issued and approved by US customs at least 24 hours before the cargo is loaded on the vessel destined for the US. Late, missing or inaccurate ISF can result in steep fines for the importer.

Special conditions may apply for some FDA imports. Some FDA entries will require prior notice. Informal entries of a value of less than $2,500 will still be subject to FDA clearance.
